Convergence Insufficiency, or CI, is a common near vision problem that results in a number of symptoms including an inability to concentrate for prolonged periods at near, headaches, eye strain blurred near vision and double vision at near. Comfortable vision occurs when both eyes 'team' to look at the same object. In CI, one eye drifts outwards - usually when an object is brought closer to the eyes often resulting in double vision.
