Trattamento Blephex
Blepharitis is a common condition affecting the eyelids causing itching or burning, foreign body sensation, redness of the eyelid margin, crusting and blurry vision. Blephex is an in-office eyelid exfoliation procedure that allows the clinician remove flakes and bacterial debris from the eyelashes and lid margin. A single use surgical grade micro-sponge tip rotates on a motorised unit to remove debris on the eyelids. The debris can be a food source for a common dust mite that is often found in blepharitis. Blephex treatment is often recommended as part of a treatment plan for Demodex related blepharitis. Most patients report a tickling sensation during the procedure. Blephex treatment is usually recommended every 4-6 months.
